BlackStar Orbital completed a static fire test of its "15K S2200" High Performance Orbital Maneuvering System, demonstrating impressive thrust and extended burn duration for advanced space exploration applications.

BlackStar Orbital announced the completion of a significant static fire test for its BlackStar-C Orbital Kick Motor, part of the company's "More Power To You" campaign. Conducted in partnership with US Rockets Inc at their Mojave Desert facility, the test was performed in 2021 but only recently made public.

The motor demonstrated "impressive thrust, extended burn duration, and overall exceptional performance" during testing. This solid propellant system provides the BlackStar-C spacecraft with maneuvering capabilities for high-g orbital operations and payload optimization.

The company positions this achievement as validation of in-space propulsion readiness for both commercial and defense applications. BlackStar Orbital specializes in reusable satellite technology built on a micro shuttle architecture, serving the expanding small satellite market sector.
