The initiative, branded "Project Latitude," aims to establish comprehensive launch and reentry capabilities while supporting the development of a specialized runway for space plane operations.

Christopher Jannette, CEO of BlackStar Orbital, emphasized that this location "enhance[s] our launch capabilities but also reduce[s] operational costs and time to deliver." The spaceport will support both horizontal and vertical launch operations, along with potential point-to-point Starship services.
